Choosing your coffee

Which coffee should I choose?

Start with the flavours you enjoy: choose Pecan Sweet for sweet pecan, toffee and milk chocolate notes, or Berry Nice for berry flavours that become mellow vanilla and milk chocolate notes with milk. For a darker, richer cup, try The Not So Novice; for smooth, nutty coffee, explore Brazil Single Origin.

Which coffee is a good starting point for a beginner?

Pecan Sweet is a good starting point if you enjoy smooth, sweet coffee, particularly with milk. Choose the grind that matches your brewing equipment, or select whole beans if you have a grinder.

Which coffee is good for lattes and cappuccinos?

Pecan Sweet creates a smooth, sweet cup with toffee and milk chocolate flavours, while Berry Nice brings mellow vanilla and milk chocolate notes when paired with milk. For a bolder latte or cappuccino, choose The Not So Novice.

Which coffee should I choose for a bold, chocolatey flavour?

Try The Not So Novice, a darker-roasted, full-bodied Arabica blend with caramel and dark chocolate tasting notes. It’s a good choice if you prefer a richer coffee.

What is the difference between single origin coffee and a blend?

Single origin coffee comes from one origin and highlights its particular characteristics, while a blend combines coffees from different origins to create a flavour profile. Coffee Novice offers both so you can explore different styles.

Brewing and storing your coffee

How should I store my coffee?

Keep your coffee tightly sealed in a cool, dry cupboard, away from sunlight, heat and moisture. If you transfer it to another container, choose an airtight one.

How much coffee should I use in a cafetière?

A useful starting point is 15g of coffee for every 250ml of water, using cafetière grind. Adjust the amount to suit your taste and the size of your cafetière.
